About Us
A SGA55 community of institutions, organizations and individuals engaged in robotics in Africa. AFRON seeks to promote communication and collaborations that will enhance robotics-related education, research, and industry on the continent.
At the heart of our work is the belief that robotics is more than a field of study—it is a catalyst for innovation, economic growth, and transformative technological solutions. By promoting open communication, partnerships, and knowledge exchange, we strive to create opportunities that make robotics education and research more accessible and impactful.
Our SGA55 community actively fosters initiatives that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning. Through workshops, research collaborations, events, and outreach programs, we aim to inspire the next generation of African roboticists and support the development of world-class robotics innovations within the region.
Together, we are building a dynamic network that not only strengthens robotics capabilities in Africa but also highlights African talent and contributions on the global stage. As we continue to grow, we remain dedicated to driving forward a future where robotics plays a pivotal role in addressing local challenges and unlocking new possibilities across the continent.
